No, you do not need the Oracle Argus or LSMV to get the job in pharmacovigilance. Same way you do not need Oracle Clinical and Medidata Rave for getting the job in clinical data management.

It is like to learn car driving; you are looking for BMW or Mercedez. You don’t need Mercedez and BMW to learn Driving.

For getting the job you must know the pharmacovigilance fundamentals, regulations, end to end case processing (ICSRs), QC, and understanding of other aspects of Pharmacoviglance like aggregate report writing, PSMF etc. Tools like Clinevo would provide you good hands-on training on safety database.

In the same way of getting the job in Clinical Data Management you must know have good understanding of clinical trials, basics of clinical trials projects management, regulations and essential documents and some basic EDC or CDM software.

Hands-on training on other pharmacovigilance / safety databases like Clinevo which are as good as Oracle and are licensed to be used for training purposes. However, platforms like Oracle Argus or LSMV are extremely expensive and these companies do not allow them for the purpose of training. There are some institutes who use Argus and LSMV software illegally acquired pirated versions. The licensed versions require huge investment in crores and would make training very expensive. Companies like Oracle and LSMV do not allow institutes to use their software for the purpose of training the students.

Clinevo on the other hand is licensed for the training and is as good as Argus or LSMV and used by hundreds of global CROs and Pharma companies. Once you learn Clinevo, you can easily work on Oracle Argus and LSMV. Same way some exposure on Quantum Quip or Clinsoft will give you reasonably good understanding of clinical data management.
